Da Browns
Welcome to the jungle!
Our jungle has a mighty lion king, Jared; his sultry lioness, Tamany; three crazy monkeys, Landon, Tyler, and Ethan; and a beautiful gazelle, Isabel. It also has a beast, Phoebe, our mastiff.
Life in our jungle is much like other jungles: a constant searching for food. It consists of finding the food, killing it, bringing it home, preparing it, eating it, cleaning it up, and trying to share with others what we found.
This blog is to share the highlights of what happens in our jungle during that process.

First day of school
Here are the pics of the first day of school for the boys. Landon and Tyler get to ride their bikes now. It is funny how they have this new sense of freedom. It is great for me. No drop-offs or pick-ups.
Ethan started pre-school with me and two other moms and their kids. We rotate teaching every three weeks. Ethan is in HEAVEN! When I picked him up from his first day of school he yelled, "that was AWESOME!"
Isabel gets to participate when I teach and she has claimed her own little box of school supplies. It is funny to watch her mimick the older kids. She knows her colors thanks to Elin's girls teaching her over the summer.
Great day to be an Astros and a Cougar
Saturday was a great day to be a sports fan---if you are an Astros and a Cougar, that is. Although we missed the Cougars play in Dallas, we did get to see the Astros beat the Phillies.
We were invited by Baker Botts to watch the game in their suite at Minute Maid park. It was family night so the kids got to come. They got a real kick out of an all-you-can-eat buffet of peanuts, cracker jacks, hotdogs, cookies, nachos, ice-cream, and chicken strips.

Mom, she loves us
Mom, she love us
While at dinner with Gramie, I asked where she was. The boys said she was standing in line waiting to get them their pizza from the buffet line. I said, "What!" Tyler looked at me and emphatically announced, "Mom, she loves us!"

Disneyworld
We went to Disneyworld for vacation in December. It was a lot of fun. We were just happy to see the kids got over their fear of people in costumes!
Daddy's Girl
While in Disneyworld, Isabel's wish came true: to have her dad hold her non-stop for an entire week! She is so in love with her dad!
